His name is Catai and he is the seventh foal to be born out of Weihaiwej, with big blue eyes just like his dam. Surely he will attract quite a bit of attention from trainers, riders and breeders who attend the young horse auction, scheduled to close the 11th edition of the CSI5* “Vincenzo Muccioli Challenge”, to be held on July 21-23 2007 in the equestrian facilities of the world’ largest drug rehabilitation facility.
Catai is by Nadir, a grey stallion by Corrado out of Lancerina and reigning Italian show jumping champion ridden by Jerry Smit. All of the Community’s horses are ridden by Smit in international competition. Along with Catai, 9 other young horses will be auctioned off in July, including another colt out of Weihaiwej and by Tlaloc M, called Beijing, as well as offspring by Ahorn Z, Parco, Goldwing, Corland, Concorde and Heartbreaker.
