Rodrigo Pessoa victorious in the Swedish GP

Outlasting a starting field of thirty-seven, Olympic Gold Medalist Rodrigo Pessoa of Brazil rode Double H Farm's Oasis to the win in Sunday's JMS Mediasystem Grand Prix at Falsterbo, Sweden.

The Sunday main event, scored under FEI Art. 273.2.2, 3.3 and 4.3, two rounds, was a qualification event for the 2006 WEG and the FEI European Championship.

Of the thirty-seven that went to the post, eight went clear in round one. To complete the top ten scheduled to return for the second round, those eight were joined by the two fastest four fault rides from round one.

Five competitors went on to be double clear in the two round class, with Pessoa and Oasis leading the way with a blazing time of 45.46 seconds. Ireland's Marion Hughes and Heritage Transmission galloped home for second, crossing the finish line in 47.26 seconds. The hometown crowd at Falsterbo saw Sweden's Peter Eriksson finish third with VDL Cardento. Eriksson broke the beams in 47.30, just 4/10ths of second behind Hughes.
