«Qlassic Bois Margot» on his way to the World Cup final in Gothenburg (VIDEO)

France’s stallion Qlassic Bois Margot just hit the road for a long trip by truck and ferryboat that will lead him to Gothenburg for the 38th World Cup final.

Qlassic is a serene horse and that journey should not disturb him too much. With his rider, world n°1 Simon Delestre, the pair is one of the favorites to a title that the French riders had only won one time. It was in 2004, with Bruno Brouqsault.

Simon Delestre leaves for Sweden in a confident mood: “there has been no contingency during the last few days of preparation. Qlassic is still at the top of his form. He showed it in ‘s-Hertogenbosch last week.

His behavior during the three days of competition was perfect, and it ended on a good note in the Grand Prix where he finished 5th. I had neither respite nor concern… He was perfect”. Complicity and experience. We know all about each other and the horse immediately responds to my everything I ask him. He understands what I’m thinking about.”

Qlassic Bois Margot, « the millionaire », is the perfect example of the charismatic stallion. An athlete first and foremost, a cold-blood warrior. Because it takes fieriness to triumph in 5* Grand Prix or Championships, either in indoor (where Qlassic excels) or outdoor. But the horse also need to keep his head cold in order to not being distrub by the vibrations from the 25 000 spectators shouting for a performance or a medal in the Ornano stadium of the WEG in Caen in 2014 or not being disturb by the electrical environment of the enormous stadium of Aachen and its 45 000 spectators.

Simon Delestre had spotted that 7 y-old star during a competition in Dinard (France). At first glance, he knew he was looking at an exceptional horse, and laid seige to Haras Bois Margot in order to get Rodolphe and Laetitia Bonnet entrust him with the blakc stallion’s sporting career. The following years and the 16 podiums they got in Grand Prix or 5* Nations Cup proved him right. His sports’ qualities, but also his physical strenght (Qlassic has never been stopped for injury), and his pedigree make him one of the most prominent stallions. By l’Arc de Triomphe (Landor S), an internationally recognized stallion, second world’s best sire by it’s products’ winnings in international competition (Source: horsetelex, Promising Sires 2015), his dam line telles the story of the Selle Français by itself; Galoubet A, Almé, Double Espoir, related to Rochet Rouge (European champion in 1999 with Alexandra Ledermann), Nistria (2nd World Cup with Philippe Lejeune), etc…

Qlassic already asserts himself as a great sire as two of his products were respectively crowned French champion of the 2 y-old (Dumbo des Biches, jump and locomotory grade), and 3rd of the female French championship (Dzara d’Orchival), whereas Quidimieux Bois Margot Z not only shines in the young horses French circuit but also has just been approved stallion for the Zangersheide Studbook at the Deauville selection last February.
