Pessoa starts with a win at Corunha
The current Olympic Champion, Rodrigo Pessoa won the Mostoles Industrial Trophy, the first class of the CSI**** Casas Novas in La Corunha, Spain.
Pessoa riding Roadrunner was the fastest rider of the 28 clear rounds of the class with a time of 55, 73 seconds. Less than a second was Spanish Patricio Maldonado and Sunshine Tour Crevagh Express.
Portuguese Luis Sabino Gonçalves claimed the third place riding In Chala D´En Hamt.
ERIC NAVET WINS THE SECOND CLASS OF THE DAY
Frenchman Eric Navet riding Hym D’Isigny Lassergut claimed victory in The Viña Pomal Trophy, the second class of the day. The class consisted of two phases and forty seven horses took part in.
Dutch Harry Smolders with Esquís Rodenbugh’s Colorado, was the only one who came close to Navet´s time (23,55s) coming in at 24,03s. Swiss Daniel Etter settled for third place riding Tiger V.
EUGENIE ANGOT CLAIMS VITORY IN THE BIG CLASS
French Eugénie Angot claimed The NH Hotels Trophy, big class of the first day of CSI **** La Corunna adding one more victory to her personal record at Casas Novas and making her the rider who has obtained more victories in the history of this International.
Aboard on Cigalle du Taillis, the mare which led her to victory last summer, Eugenie made a spectacular and quick course finishing in 59,48s. The second place went to the Austrian veteran rider Thomas Frühman riding The Sixth Sense meanwhile the third position was for Brazilian Bernardo Alves with Topic Van’t Voorhof.
The best 30 riders of this class will participate in the Grand Prix La Corunna tomorrow.
