Last Saturday, August 25th, the selections in the three categories of foals led to 10 finalists in the jumping bred male foals, 12 in the jumping bred female foals and again 10 finalists in the dressage bred foals.
Former champion stallion Inshallah de Muze had 2 sons and 2 daughters in the finals. In the male foals, the victory went to a son of Echo van 't Spieveld, called Mister Q van de Stationshoeve. Koen De Nijs bred the foal out of a dam by Kashmir van Schuttershof. Mercator van Moretus (Cador x Caretino), bred by Ann Lauwers ended second; the bronze medal went to Mozart van het Eikenhof (Iron Man van de Padenborre x Camus), bred by August Lenaerts.
In the finals of the female jumping bred foals, the sire Triomphe de Riverland was, next to Inshallah de Muze, also represented by 2 daughters. However, it was a direct Nabab de Rêve daughter who won the gold medal : Mamanka-A (Nabab x Corland), bred by Karel Aerts. The silver medal went to Madonna van Moretus (Cador x Caretino), also bred by Ann Lauwers. The bronze medal was for Matinee J&F Optima (Triomphe de Riverland x Jaleo du Defey), bred by Optimus Agro.
Two young BWP approved dressage stallions – Sir Donovan and Special Agent Amour – managed both to send 2 foals to the finals of the dressage bred foals. The victory in this category went to Marac M, a son of Charmeur out of a dam by Krack C, bred by Roland Missiaen. Mara van 't Tallaart (Corragio van het Bloemenhof x Flemmingh) got the silver medal and was the best female dressage foal. The third place went to Magic Amour de Barra (Special Agent Amour x Don Renoir), bred by Lippens- Van de Walle.
