Merveldt racks up third win in La Mandria

Merveldt racks up third win in La Mandria, Truppa Italian Champion.

Irelands’s 46 year old Anna Merveldt completed a hat-trick of wins at the CDI3* international dressage show in La Mandria, Italy.

On Friday the Italian-based Irish rider who is training with Johann Hinnemann won the Intermediaire II class at the venue of the 2007 European dressage championships. Yesterday she scored 68.08 per cent with her 13 year-old Coriolan gelding Coryolano to win the Grand Prix class. She finished with a flourish today by winning the Grand Prix Special with Coryolano on a score of 67,54 per cent.

Valentina Truppa won the Italian national championship after two tests, the Grand Prix and the Grand Prix Freestyle. She showed Chablis in a well way and moved up to 72,20%, thus earning the national title. Anna Paprocka Campanella showing Prego became the runner up. She was rewarded with 69,85% in the Freestyle.
