Kurten Wins Swiss Masters at Zurich

Chalking up her seventh major international win within 15 days, Jessica Kurten tonight (Friday) took victory in the Mercedes Swiss Masters competition in Zurich, Switzerland.

The 36 year-old rider also collected a Mercedes car for her efforts, to add to the considerable prize money amassed since she won the 250,000 dollar Dubai Grand Prix on January 13.

Riding the ten year-old mare 'Castle Forbes Libertina', Kurten competed in a 15-strong field of top international riders to take one of only two double clear rounds, the other being scored by British runner-up Michael Whitaker, who was over one second slower than the Cullybackey-born Irishwoman.'Castle Forbes Libertina' also took Kurten to victory in the Dubai Masters competition on January 12. Last night (Thursday) in Zurich, Kurten rode 'Quibell' to victory in the Swiss Grand Prix at Zurich.
