Harrie Smolders claims the small event at Madrid
The first competition of the International Jumping Show CSI5* Madrid 2007 that is taking place at the Club de Campo Villa de Madrid facilities finished with a Netherlands victory. Dutch Harrie Smolders riding his mare Indiana finished the course with a clear round in a 55, 38 seconds time. Slotting into second was Jean-Claude Vangeeberghe who registered a 56,98 seconds time thanks to his horse Osta Rugs Coronation.
Alvaro de Miranda wins the medium competition of the first day
The Brazilian rider Álvaro de Miranda riding AD Peanunts Z. De Miranda, claimed the medium class and a purse of 10,000 euros prizemoney. Spanish rider Rutheford Lathan who rode Van Schijndel’s Optical was second. Sergio Álvarez Moya was the next best Spanish rider.
