GUCCI PARIS MASTERS 2012: «Girls, Girls, Girls!» (video)

From November 30th to December 2nd 2012, the Gucci Paris Masters will be heading to the Paris Horse Show at the Paris Nord Villepinte exhibition centre (Hall 5B), for yet another sumptuous festival of top-class show jumping.

As every year, equestrian fans at the Gucci Paris Masters can look forward to seeing 30 of the best riders on the planet performing at the very pinnacle of their sport, in an ambiance sprinkled with stardust and glamour for three days of competition.

Much of that glamour will be provided by the girls of the Gucci Paris Masters, who include illustrious names such as the Australian champion Edwina Tops-Alexander and Monaco's lovely Charlotte Casiraghi, thus resulting in a stunning combination of sporting prowess, beauty and grace. The two GUCCI ambassadresses, friends both inside and outside the competitive arena, never miss a chance to team up when it comes to scouting courses or taking part in the Style & Competition charity event, in aid of AMADE, the World Association of Children's Friends.

The vice-world and European team champion Pénélope Leprevost, will be lining up to run in the CSI 5* challenges. Following her victory in last year's GUCCI Grand Prix, the French favourite will be hoping to make it a double. Athina Onassis de Miranda, granddaughter of the Greek shipping magnate Aristotle Onassis, will be competing for Greece against her husband, Brazilian rider Alvaro Alfonso de Miranda Neto. Jessica Springsteen, daughter of “The Boss” himself, will be running in the CSI 5* for the first time, whilst Hannah Selleck will be initiated to the Parisian competition, taking part in the CSI 2* schedule. The daughter of Tom Selleck (alias Magnum) and Jillie Mack, actress, will also feature in the “Style & Competition for AMADE” event on Saturday, December 1st. Also, former tennis champion Martina Hingis, as loyal as ever to the Gucci Paris Masters, has confirmed she'll be lining up in the CSI 1* programme.

Whilst the fairer sex will be strongly represented in the saddle at the Gucci Paris Masters, the event can also count on the sterling off-course contributions of two irreplaceable ladies. Frida Giannini, Creative Director at Gucci, has been supporting the Parisian show jumping meeting for four years, ensuring that every edition is synonymous with style and performance. Virginie Coupérie-Eiffel, the great-granddaughter of Gustave Eiffel, flies the flag for both the Gucci Paris Masters and its prestigious sponsor with equal distinction, providing the event's organizers with the benefit of her extensive knowledge of the equestrian world.

But there won't just be stardust on the course and behind the scenes. The red carpet will be rolled out for some very illustrious guests, including the likes of H.R.H the Princess of Hanover, Rosario Dawson, Marina Hands, Fanny Ardant, Mademoiselle Agnès, Sarah Lavoine… all passionate equestrian fans seen at the 2011 event.
