Gerco Schröder and London won Doha Grand Prix

In Doha (Qatar) the world’s best show jumpers were fighting in a five-star CSI for a total prize money of 735.000 €.

Dutch Gerco Schröder (team and individual silver medal winner at the Olympic Games in London) and his Belgian stallion London claimed victory of the Grand Prix (prize money 650.000 €). Gerco Schröder received a cheque worth €214.500 for the victory.

Only two combinations managed to stay clear in both rounds and the jump-off. London needed 40,37 seconds for the jump-off round. Runner-up was Irish Denis Lynch aboard his Argentinus-son All Star, who finished the round within 43,34 seconds.

Clarissa Crotta from Switzerland and her KWPN gelding West Side van Meerputhoeve had one bar down and finished third (39,54 seconds). German Ludger Beerbaum and his 10-year-old Holstein mare Chiara ranked fourth with 4 penalties and 38,87 seconds.
