Future medal candidates in Verden
Former Verden auction horses won medals at the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro and at the Bundeschampionate in Warendorf this year.
Future medal candidates will be sold in the Niedersachsenhalle on the occasion of the 133rd Elite Auction on October 7 and 8.
Auction Manager Jörg-Wilhelm Wegener is enthused about the high quality of the 87 competition horses and 44 foals. “There is a huge and varied offer when it comes to the collection of dressage and show jumping horses. From dressage horses at the championship level to successfully competing advanced level jumpers – the customer are provided an attractive auction collection, complemented by interestingly bred foals.”
50 young dressage prospects strive to get customer’s attention. The collection is impressively introduced by Let’s Dance, a five-year-old gelding by Vivaldi/Hohenstein who will travel from his home stable in Denmark to Verden. He was born with Nedergaard Dressage in Denmark. The 2016 Hanoverian Vice Champion of three-year-old riding horses, Quarlito von Nymphenburg by Quaterhall/Rotspon (exhibitor: Werner Rademacher, Flögeln) also shows up in the dressage horse collection. Danciero V by Dancier/Cordoba is decorated with the attributes “licensed and performance tested” and is a recommendation for breeding and sports purposes. The stallion was licensed in Verden in 2015 and was bred by Catherina Busching from Burgwedel.
The show jumping collection features 37 futurity jumpers of extraordinary quality. Cadanos will be the first jumper to enter the auction arena. He also bears the features “licensed and performance tested” and was trained by auction rider Enrico Süßenbach. The seven-year-old youngster is already successfully competing at the advanced show jumping level. More fantastic jumpers, most of them younger, will follow in the course of the auction.
The collection will be complemented by 44 foals. They will be presented on October 8 as of 10.30 am in the Niedersachsenhalle and put up for auction in two groups – which is a novelty – between the auction of riding horses as of 3.00 pm.
The auction training will start on September 26. The Verden auction team will introduce the auction week with the opening presentation on October 1. It is possible to inspect and test the auction horses upon prior arrangement during daily training
The traditional Gala Evening Show on Friday, October 7, as of 08.00 pm will herald the start of the 133rd Elite Auction of the Hannoveraner Verband and will certainly provide some special moments this year. It will be the last Gala Evening Show for Hartmut Kettelhodt for the Hannoveraner Verband after more than 40 years.
