Four young stallions honoured

Four young Hanoverian stallions who earned the highest breed values at their stallion performance tests last year were specially honoured at the show of privately owned stallions in Verden last weekend. Two dressage stallions were given the Weltmeyer-Prize, two jumpers the Stakkato-Prize.

Weltmeyer-Prize: The Fürstenball/Stedinger-son Frisco (breeder: Gestüt Grasekamp, Datteln – stallion station: Gestüt Letter Berg, Coesfeld) completed his 70-day performance test in Adelheidsdorf and shined with a dressage breed value of 135 to honour his brilliant basic gaits and awesome rideability. Lasogga S by Lord Loxley/Grosso Z (breeder and stallion station: Tobias Schnöink, Twist) does credit to Pierre-Michel Lasogga, striker with the German football team from Hamburg. The bay youngster was rewarded with a dressage breed value of 132 in Adelheidsdorf.

Stakkato-Prize: Two stallions, now available for breeding with the Celle National State Stud, were successfully shown over the fences during their performance tests – both are grandsons by trademark stallion Stakkato, the eponym of this award. Grand Stakkato by Graf Top/Stakkato (breeder: Willem Klausing GbR, Diepholz) left the Verden Stallion Licensing 1 ½ years ago as premium stallion. He impressively underlined his qualities in Neustadt/Dosse where he achieved a jumper breed value of 131. The Light On/Stakkato-son Light my Fire (breeder: Heinz Schütte, Spelle) was also discovered at the Stallion Sales. The Celle National State Stud acquired the youngster who was one of the best of his age-group in Neustadt/Dosse and rewarded with a jumper breed value of 137.

Weltmeyer- and Stakkato-Prize are prizes that are given to the breeders of the stallions. They accepted the award from Manfred Schäfer, Chairman of Hannoveraner Verband, at the show of privately owned stallions in Verden.
