FEI World Breeding Jumping Championships for Young Horses

From 27 to 30 September 2007, the Belgian border county of Lanaken (near Maastricht) is definitely “the place to be” again for the equestrian world.

For decades, the up-and-coming generation of young horses have gathered in Zangersheide for their annual World Championships or, in other words, the ‘FEI World Breeding Jumping Championships for Young Horses’: a WC for five, six and seven year old horses. Since 2005, the capacity of the grounds has been significantly enlarged so that each age group category can now have its own competition ring and meanwhile the number of participants has nearly doubled.

At the same time as the WC, there will be an exclusive competition for stallions: the ‘Sires of the World”, a stallion approval, the Zangersheide Elite Auctions and this year also the Belgian Jumping Championships for Seniors will take place at Zangersheide. Sport and business will go hand in hand at these four days in Lanaken.
