Edwina Tops-Alexander celebrated her birthday in Doha, Qatar

The World’s leading lady rider and two-time GCT season winner Edwina Tops-Alexander was in Doha, Qatar last week for the first CSI5* event at the incredible Al Shaqab Equestrian venue.

The truly world-class facilities played host to some of the world’s best including Britain’s Michael Whitaker, Olympic gold medalist Scott Brash and two-time Olympic silver medalist Gerco Schroder.

Twelve of the top 20 World-ranked riders including Olympic gold medal champion Steve Guerdat and four-time Olympic medalist Ludger Beerbaum joined Edwina for an exciting week in Doha. A truly world-class demonstration of increased dedication to the sport of show jumping in the Middle East.

The two-time Olympian for Australia also enjoyed a wonderful birthday celebration in the exotic city of Doha, receiving wonderful gifts from her friends and hosts at Al Shaqab.

Excited to start up the 2013 Global Champions Tour season, Edwina looks to the CSI5* Hermes event in Paris, France before attending the FEI World Cup Finals in Gothenburg, Sweden.
