In March 2017, Edwina Tops-Alexander announced that she was putting her sporting on career on hold as she prepared to give birth to her first daughter. Chloe Cornelia Jennifer Tops who was born on the 30 July 2017 in Monaco. In September 2017 Edwina was back on the international circuit at the Longines Horse Show in Lausanne, her first 5 star competition after Saut Hermes in Paris in March earlier this year, where she won the Grand Prix riding her mare California.
Edwina is a three-time Olympian and double Longines Global Champions Tour (LGCT) winner and a strong advocate for Women in Sport. In one of the very few sports where women and men ride and compete against each other equally, Edwina states that she does not see Showjumping as “Men against Women”. She says she sees it as “Horses against Horses”. We are certain that she will expertly balance being at the top of her game in sport and her new found motherhood.
