Doda to change his nationality…

Álvaro Affonso de Miranda Netto (Doda), a winner of two Olympic bronze medals, is reported to have informed the Brazilian showjumping squad that he will change his nationality and hopes to join Athina Roussel as husband-and-wife members of the Greek Olympic team in Beijing in 2008.

Athina Roussel is marrying «Doda» 32, whom she met in Belgium three years ago. At least 750 guests are expected at a lavish ceremony in the tropical gardens of a private São Paulo museum in Brazil.
