The Spanish Olympic rider Beatriz Ferrer Salat (Beauvalais) has cancelled her entry this week-end, at the CDI*** Hansbeke in Belgium.
The 19 year old Hanoverian Beauvalais, has been diagnosed with severe laminitis and consequently will retire from dressage competitions.
Spain loses a good dressage horse for the next CDI in Aachen and the World Equestrian Games.
Beatriz Ferrer Salat and Beauvalais claimed the silver medal in the team event, and the bronze individual medal and O.G. in Athens. Recently at the CDI Saumur they won the GP and GP Special.
The veteran Beauvalais has now earned himself a deserved rest.
