Beat Mandli without Louis for the WEG

Beat Mändli will not be able to attend the WEG with his top horse Louis, a 10-year-old Oldenburg gelding.

The reason is an operation of the horse where a chip has been removed from Louis's hock, to avoid any risk of injury.

The chip was diagnosed during a routine check- up by the vet following the Longines Grand Prix of St. Gallen.

Mändli and Louis were the best Swiss pair in St. Gallen, finishing on 6th place.

According to Louis’ owner Paul Bücheler the long-run health of the gelding is first priority.
