We’re delighted to be welcoming to the 2016 autumn meeting the gold medal winning French team from the Rio Olympic Games this summer. Firstly Roger-Yves Bost and Pénélope Leprevost who are both regulars at Saint-Lô. They have respectively won the CSI 3* Grand Prix in 2014 and 2015 and in 2007. Pénélope is bringing 3 horses in preparation for the 5* at Equita Lyon. Simon Delestre, currently holding the third slot in the World rankings, has also announced this intention to compete with 3 of his new horses Sultan du Château, Chadino and Cannavero. Philippe Rozier will be participating in the 3* on his top two rides Rahotep de Toscane and Unpulsion de la Hart.

Patrice Delaveau makes his return to Saint-Lô, firstly in the 2* being held from the 14th to the 16th of October then again in the 3* the following week-end.

On the side of the foreigners, Great-Britain is very well represented by William Whitaker (WR 71st) and Emma O’Dywer, Switzerland by Pius Schwizer (WR 55th) and Claudia Gisler not forgetting the Netherlands with Wout-Jan Van der Schans (WR 81st).

The 2* CSI sees entries from leading names including, Timothé Anciaume, Reynald Angot, Jérôme Hurel with Quartz de la Rouge and Alexandra Ledermann. For the occasion the arena surface in the Hall at the Pôle Hippique has been renewed. With no less then 29 international classes on the cards there is great sport in perspective…

The elite of tomorrows Selle Français stallions

The French stallion championships sees the crowning of the best 2 and 3 year old colts who’ll also gain that precious Selle Français stud book stallion approval. Over 8 qualifying heats held throughout France earlier this year, 40 horses have been selected in the 2 year olds section, and 100 in the 3 year olds. They’ll be judged by a panel of experts on their confirmation, paces and jumping ability- free jumping for both age groups, and also under saddle for the 3 year olds. Brand new this year for this event, live scoring! Young 4 to 7 year-old stallions, will be demonstrating their talent and ability during the Masters L’Eperon on Saturday 15th October…
