Australian Pacific Leage World Cup Finals’ winner Chantal Wigan has decided not to make the trip to the World Cup Finals in Leibzig (27 April to 1 May 2011) with her bay gelding Ferero (by Ferro x Wellington). The major reason is the difficult logistics of travelling to Europe. Furthermore, she would miss a number of important Australian horse shows where she wants to participate in view of the 2012 London Olympics.
Australia’s highest ranked rider Hayley Beresford will not be able to participate in Leipzig, as her mount Relampago do Retiro is still recovering from an injury he sustained at the 2010 World Equestrian Games in Kentucky last September.
